  • A Few Words About Our Team

Our team of professional and respected travel specialists has a stellar track record in the deluxe travel field. Over our many decades in the business, we have developed close bonds with top European suppliers and hoteliers who share our thoughtful approach and keen attention to detail. Together, we ensure that our clients enjoy top-quality accommodations, engaging tours, unique experiences, and fun activities. Each member of our staff routinely attends industry events, seminars, and familiarization trips as the invited guests of tourist boards, luxury hotel collections, and activity providers. We’ve earned the trust of discerning, repeat clients who eagerly refer us to their friends, family, and colleagues - a compliment we don’t take lightly!

PRESIDENT & FOUNDER, SONA TAZIAN: Although she first travelled internationally with her family as a baby, Sona started exploring Europe independently as a teenager. During two-years working in London, she had the opportunity to discover all corners of the UK, Continental Europe, and more. Upon returning to the United State, she decided to turn her travel passion into a career so worked for upscale tour operators, including luxury travel pioneer Abercrombie & Kent. Seeing the rise of custom travel on the horizon, she founded European Sojourns in 1998. Sona’s passion for orchestrating trips, desire to exceed expectations, and hands-on management style ensured that European Sojourns was a success from the start. In addition to traveling throughout the USA and Europe, Sona loves listening to live music, biking, baking, reading, and practicing yoga, (not necessarily at the same time)! Together with her husband, renowned saxophonist Frank Catalano, she splits her time between Chicago, New York, and Europe.

OLIVIA LANDGREN, SALES MANAGER: Thanks to her Italian roots, Olivia first travelled to Italy as an infant and continued to visit family for summer vacations, celebrations, and holidays. While studying at De Paul University in Chicago, Olivia had the opportunity to spend a semester in Florence and further explore all corners of Europe. During a stint working at a hostel while still a student, Olivia discovered her passion for cultural exchange, travel planning, and organizing the perfect experiences to showcase the unique aspects of her home city. Joining European Sojourns in 2015, Olivia quickly moved up the ranks to her current position. In her free time, Olivia enjoys traveling with her husband Rob, visiting family in her home state of California, discovering new towns and regions in Europe, and sampling gastronomic offerings along the way.
