We always strive to anticipate your questions in advance but whenever you need additional assistance, simply ask! We’re here for you.
-
How much will my trip cost?
Our booking minimum is $12K, but typically our land packages run at least $15-$20K for two travelers. Of course you could spend that alone on hotels! We can recommend small group tours, rental cars, and other savings options if you’re trying to meet a budget.
-
What types of transportation are available?
Our land packages can include multiple-day chauffeur-drive, scenic trains, private boat charter, rental cars, VIP airport transfers, hot-air ballooning, etc. depending on your preferences and logistical considerations.
-
I've booked hotels, can you handle everything else?
We prefer handling everything to make sure all trip components are correctly booked and reconfirmed. However, we understand that clients sometimes have loyalty points that they’d like to take advantage of so we can integrate additional hotels into our program.
-
Do you charge a planning fee?
Not exactly. We charge a minimum of $750 as a “plan-to-go-deposit.” If you travel, it’s applied to the cost of the trip. If you do not travel, it is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Once you’re completely satisfied with your program and ready to book, we collect a second payment equal to 20% of the estimated trip cost.
-
I'm happy with my trip plan, what's the next step?
A payment is required to book your trip (20% of your trip cost). Once received, we will confirm key trip components (hotels, trains, tours, etc.) and provide you with an invoice. Final payment is due 60 days prior to travel.
-
How do I pay for my trip?
We accept all major credit cards, payment in USD ($). We require an initial payment to start booking your trip, with final payment due at least 60 days prior to travel. Save 2% for payments by check or wire transfer.
-
Do exchange rates affect my trip cost? How does that work?
Payments are in USD ($) at the current rate of exchange. We adjust final payments if there is at 5%+ difference. Once you have paid in full, there is no refund nor additional charge regardless of any currency changes.
-
When will I receive tickets, guide details, etc.?
Final e-documents are sent about 2 ½ weeks prior to departure. These include tickets, local contacts, meeting point instructions, helpful hints, and more.
-
How will I find my driver, guide or activity?
Before you depart, we will provide all the necessary details – timings, meeting points, local contact numbers, etc. Rest assured that your questions will be anticipated and addressed. Additionally, we give your cell number to the guides and drivers, so they can contact you.
-
Do you offer customer assistance while traveling?
Absolutely! Simply call the local contact numbers provided for your specific trip or contact European Sojourns in Chicago. If issues are hotel related, contact the front desk or shift manager first as they are most able to handle on-site issues in a timely manner.
-
Yikes! I need to cancel my trip!
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Your initial payment is non-refundable and non-transferable since a lot of time, energy, and financial outlay goes into planning and booking your unique trip. Terms and conditions will be provided once we start working together.
-
What types of accommodations do you offer?
As a luxury tour company, we work with full-service four-star and five-star deluxe properties. These range from converted palaces, country estates, castles, and intimate, boutique properties that are full of character and ensure an authentic experience.

My partner has mobility issues. Can you work around that?
Of course! We have extensive experience working with travelers of various mobility levels and ensuring that everyone in the travel parry is accommodated.
-
Do you work with families?
